Yankee Alliance Hosts its 30th Annual Meeting and Reunion

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 11, 2017; Andover, MA, Yankee Alliance marked its 30th Annual Meeting and Reunion, which took place May 2-4 at Manchester, Vermont’s Equinox Resort & Spa. Since 1987, the Yankee Alliance Annual Meeting & Reunion features timely topics impacting healthcare delivered by peers and industry leaders.  The event is split between two half days and one full day of workshops, informational sessions with national speakers and built in time for networking with peers.


Attended by 19 member hospitals and 47 supplier business partners, over 200 attendees participated in the event. “This 30th Annual Meeting and Reunion is a testament to the commitment and collaborative spirit of our member owners,” said Jim Oliver, President and CEO of Yankee Alliance. “Not many organizations like ours have this kind of history working together.”  


During the conference, Yankee Alliance recognizes and awards top performing members for their exceptional achievements and commitment in reducing supply chain costs, performance excellence through leadership and engagement with other members. 


This year’s awards were presented to:


The Savings Award recognizes the acute care facility with the greatest overall savings per patient day.

 Winner, less than 100 beds:  Frisbie Memorial Hospital

 Winner, 100-300 beds:   Circle Health

 Winner, greater than 300 beds:  Lahey Health  

 

SUPPLY view ™ Participation Award recognizes the facility that has implemented the highest percentage of savings identified through the SUPPLY view ™ analytics program. 

 Winner:  Frisbie Memorial Hospital

 

Participation Award recognizes the acute care facility with the highest utilization of Yankee Alliance programs and services.

 
Winner:  Lahey Health  

 

Pharmacy Utilization Implementation Award recognizes the facility with the highest percentage of savings through the Medication Evaluation Program.


Winner:  Berkshire Health Systems, Pittsfield, MA

 

Ethan “Jethro” Stansbury Memorial Award recognizes the member who best displays the spirit of Yankee Alliance - working together with Yankee colleagues, sharing information and best practices for the greater good while attaining maximum value for their institution.

Winner:  Nancy Huntington, Glens Falls Hospital, Glens Falls, NY


Marit Davies Memorial Award recognizes the member who has exhibited innovative thinking, a passion for implementation, and leadership in the pursuit of healthcare supply chain excellence.


 Winner: Eric Berger, Lahey Health, Burlington, MA
