Southcoast Health presents as a mentor organization at the Catalytic Program

Southcoast Health was selected to present as a mentor organization at the Health and Human Services, Office of Climate Change and Health Equity Catalytic Program’s break out session on March 14,2024.

At the event, Nicole Rosa, Director of Supply Chain Logistics, Program Management and Sustainability at Southcoast Health spoke to the organization’s experience evaluating projects for return on investment and explaining how the HHS pledge closely aligns with Southcoast Health’s mission and values.

“Signing the climate pledge made so much sense for us,” she said. “We were already environmentally conscious, and felt it was a natural extension of our existing efforts. Throughout the presentation, she spoke to their work discussing the importance of sustainability with the broader healthcare community.

“Our vision is to expand our partnerships with other organizations to limit the harm of climate change in our neighborhoods, as well as to the broader health care industry. We appreciate the opportunities to work collaboratively with our group purchasing organizations, the Yankee Alliance and Premier to bring our community together for these discussions.”

Nicole also added that she is thankful for the leadership of the program’s executive sponsor Phil Oliveira, VP Supply Chain Strategy & Logistics at Southcoast Health, and the impact he has had to accelerate the program.

Southcoast Health completed the presentation with a detailed review the Inflation Reduction Act Tax Credits 30C, 179Dand 45W.
